A special issue of the ISFR2022 "Chemical Feedstock" will be organized at JMCWM (Journal of Material Cycle and Waste Management; IF 3.579). All submissions will be peer-reviewed using the same system as general submissions. After the end of ISFR2022, we welcome submissions from the URL below as an extended version of the proceedings with a deadline of the end of January 2023. https://www.springer.com/journal/10163

Welcome to ISFR 2022

“Into Sustainability and the Future of Recycling”

The International Symposium on Feedstock Recycling of Polymeric Materials (ISFR) is a collaborative network of scientists and technologists worldwide who intend to share and exchange ideas of feedstock recycling. The up-to-date scenario of various processes (biochemical, chemical, and thermo-catalytic methods) of valorization of polymeric wastes (biomass, composites, plastics, etc.) into raw chemicals, fuels, sources of energy, and other useful materials are of our interests. We expect to facilitate the modern world to successfully manage the increasing amounts of polymeric wastes, while turning them into valuable products, which will finally promote sustainability. In addition, the ISFR offers opportunities to establish further collaborations to discuss research activities in recycling in the future.

The latest onsite ISFR was organized by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Research Association for Feedstock Recycling of Plastics, Japan (FSRJ) on 26 – 29 May 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. In November/December 2021, Online International Symposium on Feedstock Recycling of Polymeric Materials (e-ISFR) was held occasionally by the FSRJ.

In 2022, we take pleasure in inviting you to the 11th ISFR 2022 in Pattaya City, Chonburi, Thailand. The symposium will bring together academic researchers and industrial experts across the world to brainstorm on recent developments in the fields of biomass, composites, and plastics waste conversion processes.

We would like to extend our warm welcome and invite you to participate in the 11th ISFR 2022. We hope you will enjoy and benefit by attending this event in Thailand.

CARBON NEUTRAL MEETINGS

“AT ISFR2022, WE OFFSET OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY”

ISFR 2022 is certified as a carbon neutral event by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). Our team follows the TGO’s guidelines precisely. The amount of Green House Gas (GHG) that will be generated by all symposium activities, including from domestic and international travelling of our participants, are estimated. A certain quantity of carbon credits is purchased to offset the amount of estimated GHG. Carbon dioxide equivalence of 160 tons is supported by Mitr Phol Group.

We also foster waste minimization and energy management policies besides reducing carbon footprint to promote sustainability. ISFR 2022 is one of the first events in Thailand to be held carbon neutral.
